We infuse essential oils with Chinese and Western herbs, which have been used for centuries to repair damage caused by the sun and pollution, maintain moisture and enhance the skin.

Ai Ye (Artemisia Argyi) commonly known as mugwort. Used in Chinese medicine for moxibustion and known for it's strong warming and pain relieving effect.
Argan Oil (Argania Spinosa) is a rare and luxurious oil which is expeller pressed from the fruit kernels of the Moroccan Argan tree. Argan oil is rich in nutrients, vitamins and anti-oxidants. It absorbs quickly and delivers deep hydration. Argan oil is believed to slow the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and even reverse existing signs of aging. It has been used for skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, dry skin and acne because of its ability to accelerate the healing of damaged skin.
Arrowroot Powder (Maranta Arundinacea) absorbs moisture and has a silky texture.
Bai Shao (Paeonia Lactiflora) helps reduce inflammation, softens, and ensures adequate moisture throughout the skin. Read more here.
Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) absorbs odor.
Basil Essential Oil (Ocimum Basilicum) improves skin tone and protects against acne.
Bay Laural Essential Oil (Laurus Nobilis) works as a skin toner and can help against razor burn and breakouts on skin.
Beeswax forms a protective barrier to the skin, acts as a humectant (holds in moisture), is anti-inflammatory and reduces dryness. Beeswax allows skin to 'breathe' and does not clog pores.
Calendula (Calendula Officinalis) is widely known as a healing herb. Often used in diaper rash creams or balms, Calendula is gentle enough for the most sensitive of skin, and beneficial to dry and sensitive skin as well. Calendula promotes skin regeneration, heals rashes, and is a great skin moisturizer.
Camelina Oil (Camelina Sativa) is rich in natural antioxidants, Omega-3 fatty acids, tocopherols, and high in vitamin E content. Due to a high content of essential fatty acids, it is wonderful for all types of skin, acting as an anti-aging and emollient agent to improve the skins elasticity and suppleness.
Camphor White Essential Oil (Cinnamomum camphora) stimulates circulation to sore muscles and limbs, warms the area and is very effective in relieving pain.
Carrot Seed Essential Oil (Daucus Carota) is a regenerative skin healing oil, wonderful for use in blends for dry and/or maturing skin. The oil’s high carotol content gives it regenerative properties, which helps with dull and aging skin. It’s also high in antioxidants, Vitamin E and Vitamin C, which work together to encourage healing and rejuvenating skin cells. Carrot Seed Essential Oil has a reputation for helping to heal eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis because of its ability to stimulate cell growth and repair damaged skin.
Castor Oil (Ricinus Communis) is used in our Beard & Shave Oil and helps the razor glide over the skin, while keeping it soft and moisturized, reducing dryness and irritation.
Cedarwood Essential Oil (Cedrus Atlantica) is wonderful for any irritated or inflamed skin. It has regenerative properties, helping with dermatitis and eczema.
Chi Shi Zhi (Halloysitum Rubrum) is astringent, and absorbs excessive accumulation of moisture (swelling). It helps tighten tissue to reduce the amount of moisture coming out of skin lesions and reduces inflammation. Great for use on eczema, rashes, burns, and any irritated skin condition.
Chuan Xiong (Ligustici Chuanxiong) is a warming herb that improves blood circulation and reduces pain.
Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao) contains natural antioxidants, is rich in Vitamin E which helps to soothe, hydrate and balance the skin, is soothing and helps to reduce dryness.
Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera) is antibacterial, soothing to irritated skin, contains lauric acid which kills odor causing bacteria, and smells fantastic.
Dang Gui (Angelica Sinensis) improves blood circulation, stimulates new cell growth, and nourishes the skin. Contains an abundance of vitamins such as vitamins A, B12, and E, as well as over 23 mineral substances including Potassium and Magnesium.
Eucalyptus Essential Oil (Rosmarinus Officinalis) is anti-inflammatory which makes it very good for relieving pain from sprains and joint aches. Also known to stimulate blood circulation, which can relieve pain.
Frankincense Essential Oil (Boswellia Carterii) improves micro-circulation, is a good skin tonic, and regenerates skin cells. Is also well known to promote healing and help with wounds.
Gan Cao (Glycyrrhiza Uralensis) is nourishing to the skin and helps ensure adequate moisture in the skin.
Gan Jiang (Zingiberis) commonly known as ginger. It's warming, improves blood circulation and reduces pain. Treats accumulation of cold (Chinese medicine sees cold accumulation and its constricting effect on blood vessels as a common source of pain).
Goat’s Milk Powder contains naturally occurring lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid commonly included in skin rejuvenation products. This type of acid gently dissolves proteins to exfoliate dead skin cells, and revealing fresh and younger looking skin. The lactic acid found in goat’s milk is extremely mild, so it won’t irritate your skin.
Gui Zhi (Cinnamomi) commonly known as cinnamon. It improves blood circulation by having a dilating effect on blood vessels as well as reduces pain.
He Shou Wu (Polygonom Multiflorum) is a nourishing, blood warming herb. It brings warmth without being too drying and also nourishes without being too moist. It's very enriching to the skin and ensures adequate moisture and distribution of fluids throughout the skin.
Hong Hua (Carthami) is commonly known as safflower. Like Gan Jiang and Gui Zhi (ginger and cinnamon), Hong Hua is warming, improves blood circulation and reduces pain.
Huang Bai (Phellodendron Amurense) relieves and reduces inflammation and helps dry up excessive accummulation of moisture (swelling). It also has a strong anti-bacterial effect.
Jojoba Oil ( Simmondsia Chinensis) is not an oil after all, rather it's a liquid plant wax or wax ester. Jojoba oil has absorption properties similar to our skin’s own sebum, and because of that, it helps to regulate the production of our own skins sebum. It’s antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, so is wonderful for oily or acne prone and problematic skin, and helps to dissolve sebum plugs and draw impurities from the skin. It is also often used in anti-aging skincare because of its excellent emollient and moisturizing properties, plus it’s ability to minimize fine lines and wrinkles. It absorbs quickly, leaves skin feeling soft and supple.
Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula Angustifolia) is one of the better known essential oils. It is calming, antiseptic, balancing, anti-inflammatory, soothing, and tones and revitalizes the skin. It is a healing oil that helps with cuts and sores, as well as dry and sensitive skin.
Meadowfoam Seed Oil (Limnanthes Alba) is non-greasy and soaks into the skin easily. When applied to the skin, it helps to prevent moisture loss from the skin. It is an extremely stable oil, and when added to a blend, it can actually increase the shelf life of other oils. This is one of the ways we naturally preserve our products.
Oats (Avena Sativa) have long been known for their beneficial anti-inflammatory properties to soothe irritated or itchy skin, but oats also contain saponins, which is a cleansing agent. Oats also have a high concentration of complex sugars, or polysaccharides, which form a protective barrier on the skin, to retain moisture.
Olive Oil (Olea Europaea) is full of antioxidants, such as vitamins A and E, which have the natural ability to stimulate cells and repair and renew skin, returning it to a firmer, smoother, and healthier state. Antioxidants help to neutralize the free radicals that cause skin damage. Olive oil is also exceptionally moisturizing.
Patchouli Essential Oil ( Pogostemon Cablin) soothes inflammation of the skin and has relaxing and sedative effects on the mood.
Rosemary Essential Oil (Rosmarinus Officinalis) tones and tightens skin (astringent) and improves blood circulation. It's known to help with connective tissue pain and warms muscles.
Roses (Rosa Centifolia) are good for all skin types, but particularly beneficial to dry, mature & sensitive skin. Roses are hydrating, help the skin to retain moisture, and stimulate the growth of new skin cells. Roses are also anti-inflammatory, so are very soothing to skin bothered by irritation.
Ru Xiang (Boswellia Carterii) improves micro-circulation, is a good skin tonic, and regenerates skin cells. Otherwise known as Frankincense!
Sandalwood Essential Oil (Santalum Spicalum) is wonderful for all skin types. It relieves itching and inflammation of the skin, is effective in relieving dehydrated skin (making it great for anti-aging skincare), and is astringent which has a great toning effect on oily skin. It also has a very pleasing scent and is known for having a calming effect on the mood.
Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii) is rich in Vitamins A & E as well as essential fatty acids and other vitamins and minerals. It is intensely moisturizing and soothing for dry skin and is wonderfully revitalizing for damaged skin.
Sheng Di Huang (Rehmannia Glutinosa) is known in Chinese medicine to clear heat and nourish yin, which means that it is good for treating inflammation and redness, as well as retaining moisture. Sheng Di Huang is also anti-bacterial and stimulates microcirculation in the skin (especially when combined with Dang Gui).
Shu Di Huang (Rehmannia Glutinosa) is a very enriching and nourishing herb providing adequate amounts of moisture in the skin.
Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) is high in minerals, vitamins and essential fatty acids. It is easily absorbed, does not clog pores, and is suitable for all skin types.
Tamanu oil (Calophyllum Inophyllum) is extremely healing to damaged skin. Extracted from the nuts of the Tamanu tree indigenous to tropical Southeast Asia, it’s been thoroughly researched and has been found to heal damaged skin, treat scarring, stretch marks, minor cuts and burns, abrasions, rashes, sores, dry skin, eczema, etc. It has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibiotic and antioxidant properties. Natives believed the Tamanu tree was a sacred gift of nature. It was their answer to skin protection from hot sun, high humidity and ocean wind. Tamanu oil is used by Polynesian women for promoting healthy, clear, blemish-free skin, and is also used on babies to prevent diaper rash and skin eruptions.
Vitamin E (Tocopherol) helps to prevent rancidity in products, and is also one of the best known antioxidants. Antioxidants can help to prevent and repair free radical damage to your body’s tissue. They do this by slowing or preventing the effect of free radicals, which start oxidation – a process that causes damage from oxygen that can lead to cell dysfunction.
Zhen Zhu Mu (Hyriopsis Cumingii) regenerates skin cells, is astringent, tightens pores, treats acne, and the Chinese believe it beautifies the skin. Read more here.
Zhi Mu (Anemarrhena Asphodeloides) is used in Chinese medicine to clear heat and nourish yin, which like Sheng Di Huang, is great for treating inflammation and redness, and retaining moisture. It is anti-bacterial and moistens dryness.
Zi Cao (Lithospermum Erythrorhizon) has a heat clearing effect (relieves inflammation) and improves blood circulation thereby being a very important medicinal used in Chinese medicine to treat various skin afflictions (rashes and lesions).
